The University of Exeter is for up for sale on ebay. It had a starting bid of £1 and was up to £10,000,000 - it's suddenly dropped to £31,437, though - 17 bids have been wiped off.
This is part of the protest at the Chemistry, Music and Italian departments closing. Everyone seems mightily pissed off about it, unsurprisingly - by the time the new first years get to their final year, there'll be far less staff, and they won't be getting the kind of expertise in their teachers that they expected when they started the course. So why announce this in November?
