Small World Update

Had a couple of interesting moments yesterday afternoon.

Found out that Tim, who plays Inspector Drake in the play, rents from someone I know at work.

Then at Exeter Central Station, I bumped into someone I haven't seen since A Level results day, six years ago. Recognised her straight away, and then thought she recognised me too. Then I had one of those "oh-shit-I-don't-think-it-is-her-really-she's-just-smiling-to-be-polite" moments just as I'd walked over to her.

So wally here says, "It is, erm, you are, um, Anna, is it?"

Fortunately it was, and so I had a very pleasant three minutes or so catching up before my train arrived. She was one of those people with whom I got on really well at school and then inexplicably made no effort to stay in contact.

Well, it could have something to do with the fact that I quite fancied her and was painfully shy at that sort of thing. As I got on the train I scribbled my number on the back of a receipt, and gave it to her, but the promised text message hasn't arrived yet.

I think she's attached, but I'm not really expecting (or indeed hoping for) anything anyway. At the risk of protesting too much, I don't really have time for all that. Would be nice to catch up properly though.
